This was my second trip in two days to Nehalem Bay Airport 3S7 (Manzanita) from Diamond Point Airport. Winds at Manzanita were light on my first trip…but were stronger, perhaps 11 kt + gusts at 35° left crosswind across the tree tops, making for a rather exciting landing.

Manzanita's winds can be treacherous while landing. In windy conditions, watch for gusty crosswinds, typically from the ocean to the west, which can create strong rotors near the ground.
Effect of rotors may diminish in last third of runway as cleared area opens up.
